Kathie Papera, president of Lilypad Baby to donate hair to Locks of Love

Offers customers free shipping to do same 

Manhattan Beach, CA, March 27, 2006 – Kathie Papera, co-founder and President of Lilypad Baby (www.lilypadbaby.com), will donate 12 inches of hair to Locks of Love, a not-for-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under the age of 18 with medical hair loss.  These custom-fitted hair prosthetics are provided free of charge or on a sliding scale to children whose families meet the Locks of Love Board of Directors guidelines.

Lilypad Baby produces a full line of high-quality baby accessories and gifts.  To further benefit Lock of Love, Papera is also offering free product shipping for life (of the company) to any customers donating hair to the organization. Local hair salon owner, Kristi Hale of Strands, located at 1000 Manhattan Avenue, Unit C in Manhattan Beach, will provide the actual haircut on Friday, March 31 at 10:30am.

“As a parent, and really just as a human being, I have been inspired by the Locks of Love mission for years and originally donated 14 inches of hair in 2003,” said Kathie Papera, President of Lilypad Baby.  “The ability to help children, and inspire others to do the same, is a great opportunity for me and my company that I couldn’t pass up.”

To qualify for the free product shipping the customer must send a copy of the donation certificate upon receipt from Locks of Love.
